Situated 13 kilometers away from Denpasar and 2.5 kilometers away from South of Kuta, is Baliâ€™s airport Ngurah Rai Airport (code DPS). This is the third busiest airport in Indonesia. Also known as the Bali International Airport, it is close to many hot tourist destinations. The major international airlines operating over here are Garuda, SIA, Qantas, Continental Micronesia, Ansett, Merpati, Thai Airways, China Southern Airlines, Eva Air, Cathay Pacific, MAS, Royal Brunei, and Jal.

Ngurah Rai International Airport offers facilities like taxis, city transportation and rented cars. Apart from that are immigration, custom service, quarantine and cargo building service. Tourists can also find banks, restaurants, cafeterias, phones, duty free shops, and drug stores. Cheap flights to Bali are available at a maximum rate of $1,000 on return ticket basis. EVA operates from Atlanta, and you can get a ticket for $1,000 round trip. China Airlines offer cheaper tickets at $860 from Boston. If you are flying from Chicago you can get tickets at $900. From Denver you can fly at $911. The cheapest ticket is available in case you are flying from Los Angeles at $750. EVA Airlines is one that is offering such low fares.

Weekdays are the cheapest days to fly in to Bali, while the weekends are most expensive. Avoid flying on Mondays, too, as most of the business class people travel during that time. In case you do not get a ticket to Bali, you can fly to the nearest international airport, which is Jakarta. From there you can take a train or bus to Bali. But there are also cheap flights like Air Asia, Citilink and Lion Air available from Jakarta to Bali. Though these connections will take you longer to reach Bali, you will be able to completely unwind once you arrive.
