General Requirements

The following documents are required of all applicants for an Indonesia visa.

- A valid passport for at least 6 months (1 year for multiple entry visa);
- One (in duplicate) blank visa page (amendment and endorsement should not be used);
- 2 recent passport-size photos (2"x2") on picture-quality paper;

Indonesia travel visas are attached to your passport on a blank visa page. The Indonesia Embassy and consulates will not stamp a visa on an amended page.

Fees

The visa fee for a maximum stay of 7 days is US$10, and US$25 for up to 30 days. You cannot extend nor convert the visa into other types. You can apply for an Indonesia visa at most international airports. But if you are going to a non-recognized entry post (or port), you need to get a visa in advance.

You can apply for a Single Entry Visa (60) days, a Multiple Entry Business Visa and a Temporary Stay Visa at an Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in your home country.

US Applicants

US citizens who want to travel to Indonesia should be ready with the following documents:
- Original, signed US passport with at least 6 months validity;
- Two (2) passport size photographs, a copy of itinerary and round trip tickets,
- An international certificate of Yellow Fever vaccination (if the tourist has gone to any of the Yellow Fever countries);

Indonesia grants tourist visas to US citizens for a maximum stay of 60 days. But a tourist visa is good for single entry only. The Tourist Visa holder cannot enter any of Indonesia's restricted regions (Maluku, Poso, and Irian Jaya/West Papua). Applicants seeking to visit the restricted regions must obtain special authorization from Indonesian authorities.

Business Visa

If you plan to go on a business trip in Indonesia, aside from the requirements listed above, you also need a duplicate copy of a letter of intent from your employer or sponsor. The letter should explain the purpose of your visit and list all trip and living expenses that you will incur in Indonesia.

Multiple Entry

For multiple entry, visa includes duplicates of a letter of invitation from your business partner or sponsor in Indonesia. The letter should specify the purpose of visit. This applies to people who have worked in Indonesia and those who hold immigration permission.
