Oman Visa
If you want to visit the beautiful land of Oman, you will need to obtain an Oman visa. This is required of American citizens visiting the country either for tourist or business purposes. Your U.S. passport should be valid for at least six months after your intended arrival in the country. An Oman visa can be obtained from your nearest embassy, or online.
A tourist single entry visa is valid for 30 days upon issuance, whereas tourist multiple entry visas and business multiple entry visas are valid for two years. If you are simply visiting friends a tourist single entry visa is the ideal type of visa to obtain, although the Oman visa does not permit staying for more than three weeks per visit.
For those traveling on business, employees are not allowed to provide services for anyone else other than their sponsor during their visit. Those who are visiting Oman on business purposes need to provide a sponsorship letter as well as a business letter containing information on a visiting firm in the country, the nature of business, duration of stay, and a guarantee of financial responsibility from the company provided on company letterhead.
