Tonga Visa
All visitors to the Kingdom of Tonga are required to have a visa.
Those who hold a passport from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Barbados, Bulgaria, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Cook Islands, Dominica, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Finland, French Polynesia (Wallis and Futuna, Tahiti, New Caledonia), France, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Kiribati, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Malaysia, Monaco, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Netherlands, Niue, Norway, New Zealand, Palau, Poland, Portugal, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Korea, Russia, Romania, Samoa, Singapore, Seychelles, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Slovakia, Spain, St. Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Switzerland, Sweden, The Bahamas, Tuvalu, Turkey, Ukraine, United States of America, United Kingdom, and Vanuatu, may obtain their visitor"s visa upon arrival in Tonga. This is valid for no longer than 30 days and is free of charge.
Other conditions for this visitor"s visa include a return ticket out of Tonga and proof of sufficient funds to support his/her stay in the Kingdom.
For nationals of countries not listed above, an approved visa is needed before arrival in Tonga. Visa applicants are required to submit a filled-up application form, a return ticket to the applicant"s country of origin, and proof of sufficient funds. Copies of these documents can be forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Immigration Division in Tonga, or sent via email: visatonga@gmail.com.
