Vanuatu Visa
Visas are not required for citizens of some countries including Belgium, Denmark, All the commonwealth countries (Tanzania, Brunei, Canada, Mauritius, Kiribati, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Belize, Zambia, India, to name a few), Canada, Ireland, Fiji, Cuba, France and its colonies, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, Holland, Luxembourg, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Switzerland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Spain, members of the European Union, and the United States of America. Visitors are issued a Visitor"s Permit upon their arrival in Vanuatu.
However, to obtain the Visitor"s Permit, all visitors are required to show a return or onward ticket, an official passport that is valid for a minimum of six months and which covers their duration of stay in Vanuatu. Visitors must also show proof of sufficient funds to support their stay.
Residence and Long-term Permits are also issued to those who wish to stay in Vanuatu to establish a business. These permits require approval from the local investment board and must submit a filled-up application form and pay a fee depending on the length of their desired stay in Vanuatu. These permits are valid for a minimum of one year to as long as 15 years.
For citizens of countries that need a visa to enter Vanuatu, it may be obtained through application at the Immigration Department of Vanuatu or the nearest consulate or embassy.
