Yemen Visa
If you want to experience the stunning landscapes and diverse culture that
Yemen
has to offer, you will need to obtain a Yemeni visa. A visa is required of all citizens except for those coming from Syria, Jordan, or Iraq; however, all visas will be denied if there is evidence of visits to Israel. You can visit the Yemeni embassy every day except Friday, when they are closed.
Two types of visas are available for U.S. citizens coming for tourist purposes: single entry and multiple entry. The longest-permitted
stay in Yemen
is 30 days. Requirements include a signed U.S. passport, an itinerary for roundtrip tickets, and a doctor"s note stating that the traveler is free from all contagious diseases. For minors, a notarized consent form from the Washington, D.C. consulate is required that is signed by the parents.
For those
traveling to Yemen
on business, multiple entry visas are provided with a validity of up to 180 days. Requirements needed are the same as those for tourist visas but come with extra stipulations like a business invitation from the company in Yemen sponsoring the traveler that is addressed to the Consulate of Yemen. Applications are always subject to approval and may take up to three months to process, so it is best to apply in advance if you plan to visit the country.
