Major Airports Serving

Auckland International Airport is located 21 km away from downtown and is the largest airport on the island and the only one handling international flights from all continents. It has both international and national terminals and each one features its own information center and facilities. Passengers who wish to visit the terminals can use the shuttle airport buses that operate on site every twenty minutes. The Auckland Airport features a well appointed foot path for those who wish to reach the other terminal on foot. The distance between the two terminals is about 1 km.

Both terminals have free phone facilities for accommodating booking, left luggage facilities, banks and ATMs, and car hire offices. Internet kiosks can be found at the international terminal, while both terminals feature wireless internet connection for free. The baggage storage facility operates all day, every day, and can be accessed by passengers at the Information Center. Shops and restaurants are available to the visitors and travelers, and there are two 18 hole mini golf courses situated at the Treasure Island Golf Court. Those who wish to leave the airport can benefit from local ground transportation including buses, shuttle buses, taxis and car rentals, or, for those who want to be transferred in style, helicopters are available upon request.
