Hanover Airport (HAJ) is about 11 km from Hanover and has three passenger terminals. A train service operates twice an hour between the airport and Hauptbahnhof Central Station. Some airlines allow passengers to check in one day prior to departure. It is one of the few airports in the country to be open all day and night.
