Barcelona Airport, most commonly known as El Prat Airport (BCN), is located approximately six miles southwest of Barcelona's city center. The second largest airport in Spain, Spanair and Vueling Airlines has their hubs here. Air Europa and Iberia Airlines consider this a focus city, so offer regularly scheduled service. Most flights here are to and from European and South African destinations, though flights are also available to Southeast Asia, Latin America and North America. Many car hire (rental car agencies) have counters in Terminals 1 and 2, or close to the airport property. The RENFE commuter train is available for ground transportation, as are a number of bus lines. Taxi stops are available at each terminal.
