Brussels Airport (BRU) is the primary airport here. Also known as Brussel Nationaal/Bruxelles-National or Brussels National, this international airport was awarded "Best Airport in Europe" by Airports Council International/International Air Transport Association (ACI/IATA), in 2005, based on a 100,000 passenger survey, conducted worldwide. Ground transportation includes bikes, cars, taxis, busses and the Brussels Airport railway station located under the airport building at level-1.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport, a.k.a. Charleroi Airport (CRL) is considered the low cost airport. It is located in Gosselies, 29 miles from central Brussels. A brand new terminal opened in January 2008 and has the capacity of handling up to five million passengers a year. Air Arabia Maroc, Jet4you, Jetairfly, On Air, Ryanair and Wizz Air are all low cost airlines that consider CRL home.
