Cheong Ju International Airport (CJJ) is located in the town of Ipsang-ri, which is north of Cheong Ju. Cheap flights going through the hub are offered by domestic carriers such as Korean Air, Jeju Air, and Asiana Airlines, all of which fly from Cheong Ju Airport at least 20 times each week. Low-cost airlines have also begun offering cheap flights to and from Cheong Ju. These include Yeongnam Air, Hansung Airlines, and Jin Air, which is the budget airline of Korean Air.
