Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) is Peru's major international and domestic airport. It is situated in Callao, 11 km from the Historic Centre of Lima and 17 km from Miraflores. In 2008, the airport managed 8,288,506 passengers and 98,733 aircraft movements. For many years, it was the center for the former Aeroperu and Compania de Aviacion Faucett. Now it serves as a center for various aviation companies.
