Da Nang has Vietnam's third international airport, the Da Nang International Airport (DAD), located at the center of the city. It is an important gateway to access central Vietnam. The airport has two runways, the longest being a three km paved runway. The airport has modern aviation equipment system capable of handling large aircraft.
