Damascus International Airport (DAM) is a public airport located in Damascus. Opened in the mid 1970's, it is Syria's busiest international airport. The airport is experiencing significant annual passenger growth rates. A new state-of-the-art terminal is expected to be constructed in the near future. The airport is served by many of the larger European carriers to the Middle East including Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, and Aeroflot.
