Izmir Adnan Menderes International Airport (ADB), located 18 km away from the city, is the major airport that connects Izmir to other cities inside and outside the country. Travel time from the airport to the core of the city takes half an hour or longer, depending on the traffic. Taking the shuttle bus from the Turkish Airlines office is by far the easiest way to get to the airport.
