Los Cabos

Los Cabos International Airport is located eight miles from the city of Los Cabos and is an airport primarily catering to the tourist class of visitor. It has two accessible terminals, one for intra-Mexico travel and one for international travel with most of the flights coming from the United States or Canada. It is the gateway to the Los Cabos "resort corridor", catering to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo as well as all the resort communities in between. The primary attractions of this area are scuba diving, snorkeling, golf, photo opportunities, especially the high altitude rock formations, and various kinds of fishing. The region is also famous for their seafood. The flights are generally very short from the southwestern portion of the United States and much cheaper than other destinations in Mexico because of its location just south of California on the Baja Peninsula.

For the cheapest flights to Los Cabos consider flying during the middle of the week, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and during the traditional rainy season which occurs from June through October. A bonus during the rainy season is that in addition to the cheaper flights to Los Cabos, many resorts offer all-inclusive packages for 20 to 60 percent off normal price. Be sure to book flights and hotel stays with insurance because inclement weather conditions during peak hurricane times may keep you from reaching your destination. Many resorts do have limited amenities during this time, so be sure to schedule events with them before you leave for your destination.
