Sucre has its own airport called Juana Azurduy de Padilla International Airport (SRE). It has only one runway and one terminal, and is based at a high altitude so some people suffer altitude sickness. The airport has both domestic and international flights, but is only open from sunrise to sunset, like many Latin American airports. However, unlike many Latin American airports, this one has a paved runway.
