The El Alto International Airport (LPB) is the main airport and terminal in La Paz. This airport is about twenty-five minutes from the center of La Paz which can easily be reached by taxi. Some of the major airlines that fly into the city are American Airlines, which flies regularly to La Paz and Santa Cruz from Miami and other countries, as well as Aerosur, which is one of Bolivia's largest air carriers. Another airline that flies into El Alto Airport is Argentina Airlines.
