The largest airport in Chiang Rai is located about eight km away from the city center and serves over 500,000 passengers every year. Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) handles almost 4,000 flights and 2,700 tons of cargo per year. Once you have arrived in Chiang Rai, you can take the Phahonyothin Road, which connects the airport with major cities in the north.
