The Salgado Filho International Airport (POA) is relatively small, and consists of two terminals with 16 gates. It was the first airport in South America to have a shopping mall. The airport is relatively busy, so be sure to arrive at least two hours prior to your flight departure. Once you arrive, transport into the city is easy and cheap using taxis or chartered cars.
