Airports serving Denton, Texas

Denton's only airport is the Denton Municipal Airport with the FAA location identifier DTO. Therefore, most visitors will travel through DFW, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the third busiest airport in the world in terms of air traffic, and the seventh busiest in terms of passenger traffic. DFW is the main U.S. hub for American Airlines and for its sister company, American Eagle. DFW has five terminals, with the ability to house an additional eight, though that should not happen anytime in the foreseeable future. The terminals are made "passenger-friendly" by Skylink, a dual-directional people-mover. You may experience some inconvenience as DFW revamps four of its terminals, A, B, C, and E, slated for completion in 2017. All international traffic moves in and out of terminal D.

Dallas Love Field (DAL) is a city-owned airport located approximately five miles northwest of the central business district. A focus city for the low-cost airlines-Southwest, Continental Express, and Delta Connection, you will often find your lowest fares here. It is not uncommon to shuttle between airports when connecting from one flight to another, in order to obtain the lowest prices. Airport shuttles make that happen easily. DART busses serve the airport and the proposed Green Line light rail line is due to open in 2010.
