The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located in Virginia and is the closest to the core of Washington. It is the least used among the three airports but is most convenient, especially for those living in downtown Washington. The second airport is the Dulles International (IAD), which is located in Chantilly, Virginia around 42 km from the center of Washington. The third airport is the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). The airport is located some 48 km from the center of Washington. This is the most widely used of all airports in the state.
