Airports servicing Seattle, Washington
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, a.k.a. Sea-Tac Airport (SEA) is located between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington in the city of SeaTac, Washington. The airport was here first, and the city grew around it, being named after the airport. Horizon Air, Southwest, Northwest, JetBlue, Frontier, Midwest Airlines and US Airways are all low-cost carriers providing service here. Two different bus systems, taxis, shuttles and rental cars all provide ground transportation into Seattle, just 11 miles away.
Boeing Field, officially King County International Airport (BFI) is located in Seattle, but provides only limited passenger service, instead catering to general aviation and cargo needs. Boeing still uses this field for testing and delivery of its 737 aircraft. The Museum of Flight is also located on the southwestern corner of the airfield.
