Meadows Field (BFL), sometimes known as Kern County-Meadows Field, is a small airport offering nonstop flights to and from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix and Denver on United Express Airlines and US Airways. Being the recipient of stimulus money has resulted in the improvement of taxiway Alpha with completion in October, 2009. Previous renovations have seen the completion of the new William M. Thomas Air Terminal in 2006, so you will experience the most modern conveniences at this airport. Avis, Budget, Hertz and National Car Rental all have counters in the terminal; American and Yellow Cab companies offer 24-hour service.
